History of Zinc Oxide
There is not an exact time for when Zinc Oxide was first used, but it has been traced to be used in ancient times. People have used Zinc Oxide for making paints, oils and acrylic paints, such as in watercolors. Medical ointments or cremes, as well as, used in making rubber, glass, adhesives, ceramics and batteries. Zinc Oxide can be found in Earth's Crust as Zincite as well.
Uses of Zinc Oxide: An inorganic compound in which used in many prescription medication applicants. A creme used for minor skin irritants, a cut or oozing of a bodily fluid to help heal and stop the oozing. Also, Zinc Oxide can be found in making sunscreen, to help block UVA rays and sun damage to the skin. It can also be used as a food supplement as it is part of some multivitamins.
